Interaction design

Designing Delight

First, let me tell you about my love of Splash Screens 👀

Splash. Splash. Spalsh.

You only get one chance to make a first impression, and I really believe in the power of first impressions.

Splash screens, while less complex and (arguably) important parts of the user flow, they can bring immense delight and instant moment of attention capture.

Being physically removed from the user, splash screen can help make that dramatic entrance digitally.

Or perhaps, less dramatic —depending on the brand's personality, of course.

Little Extras.

Details are everything — another thing I truly belleve.

Slider that changes colour

Animated hover for that extra 'oomph'

Bouncy selection buttons

Enhancing user experience through satisfying interactions is my specialty.

The examples above are pretty basic and reflect small details that can make a big difference.

Interaction design however is often more conceptual and connects to strategy.

  • What is the message we are trying to communicate to the user?

  • What do we imagine their ideal experience to be?

Big Little Extras.

In this mockup, I brought together a lot of different interactive components. Some of them are direfctly responsible for major user flows (like navigation and search), others are subtly setting expectations.
